Look at these savvy (future) millionaires

[THE LOWDOWN] Issue 20 | Master Biz Hack | Zoho One

Hey,

Spring is finally here, and I’m curious: How are you actually feeling? Q1 is officially in the rearview mirror, but instead of just checking off goals, I’ve been busy navigating some big stuff.

I just spent nearly two weeks working remotely while helping my mom downsize from her two-bedroom home into a 650-square-foot apartment. On the drive back this past weekend, I took the “long cut” through Chicago- the city where I spent seven years of my twenties. Between the physical downsizing and the trip down memory lane, the whole experience was completely disorienting.

Before I left, I shared some radical business decisions with a few clients. Now, with Easter and the big trip behind me, I’ve been leaning into the theme of “resurrection.” I’m looking at some big leaps of faith and a lot of uncertainty, but it’s all in the name of aligning my work with my actual values.

That’s the beauty (and the terror) of being an entrepreneur. We aren’t just a job title; we’re a collection of values, relationships, responsibilities, and spirituality. About a dozen years ago, I had a massive lightbulb moment: being my own boss meant I finally got to be my own person. I stopped compartmentalizing who I was for authority figures or family and made a pledge to be “me” everywhere I go. That includes making self-care a non-negotiable business decision, not a luxury.

So, I’m asking you: What does it mean for you to be a whole person and a founder? As we head into this new quarter, how are you reflecting on your own growth?

If you’re feeling the need for some of that alignment, I’d love for you to join us in the Book League for Think and Grow Rich. It’s a space to explore these big ideas, get your mind and finances on track, and realize you don’t have to do this alone.

As for me? I’m heading out for a much-needed massage this afternoon. I’m easing back into my routine, taking small breaks, and actually stopping to listen to the spring frogs and birdsongs.

Keep going,

#TheBookLeague |  Q2 Top Pick Is In: Let’s Read, Think, and Grow (Rich)

Book League fam… you voted, and we listened.

Our Q2 2026 pick is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, one of the most iconic personal development books of all time. First published in 1937 (yes, it’s been around that long), and still making waves today for one reason: the principles work.

This isn’t just about money.
It’s about mindset.
Decision-making.
Persistence.

And building a success-oriented way of thinking that actually shows up in your business.

Here’s How It Works

We keep it simple, doable, and actually fun:

  • 📅 Wednesday, April 29

  • 📅 Wednesday, May 27

  • 📅 Wednesday, July 1 (we like to keep things spicy with a slight twist on the calendar)

  • ⏰ 4:00 – 5:30 PM CST (aka Happy Hour 🍹)

  • 📍 Online

Each month, we tackle bite-sized sections of the book — so even the busiest entrepreneurs can keep up without feeling like they just signed up for homework.

Why Join Book League?

Because reading alone is cool…
…but reading together and actually applying it? Game-changer.

Inside, you’ll get:

  • Real conversations about what’s actually working (and what’s not)

  • Different perspectives from fellow entrepreneurs in the trenches

  • Practical takeaways you can apply to your business right away

  • A space to think bigger, challenge your assumptions, and sharpen your strategy

This is where ideas turn into action.

If You’re Ready To…

  • Get out of your own head (and into better ones)

  • Strengthen your mindset around growth and success

  • Actually finish a business book for once 😅

  • And build alongside a community that’s doing the work

Then Book League is your spot.

👉 Save your seat and join us for Q2

Let’s read it. Break it down. And actually use it.
